The Head Shake Test for clinical monitoring in Meniere’s Disease.This study by DiStadio et al (2019) offers clues for managing Ménière's Disease (MD) more effectively.Key Findings:Presence and persistence of ipsilesional Horizontal Semicircular Canal (HSNy) may predict a new crisis within 7 days.Patients with this predictor also face increased risk of short recurrence of vertigo attacks.Simple execution of the HST and high predictive value make it a recommended tool in clinical monitoring.A few limitations and more studies necessary, but these findings mark progress in the management of MD!Read more here
